High quality part. The peg is spring-loaded, which is one reason we went with it. It also looks way better than OEM, but it is not gaudy. We've had several shifters bent while we trail ride, and so this seems like a great way to minimize snagging and bending. The attachment bolt that came with it had a separate lock washer. I would recommend adding low-strength Loctite threadlocker to the threads to minimize chances of losing it. One note on removing and installing - remove the shifter bolt *completely* out of the hole since the spindle shaft is grooved, engaging the bolt even if loose. That way you don't damage something trying to bang it off the spindle.
