ITP Mud Lite XTR Front/Rear Tires

Image shows both front and rear tires for reference only.  Tires are sold individually.

The industry's first Extreme Terrain Radial tire

Combine the award-winning technology of the Mud Lite and 589 M/S tires to produce the smoothest riding mud tire on the market today

Super aggressive tread design features deep, angled, grooved lugs to achieve an exceptional level of traction

6-ply tough yet light in weight

Two diameters provide you with the ability to tailor a tire choice to your specific riding requirements

12in. option is ideal for primarily muddy conditions, offering better flex and tire flotation

Radial construction means the Mud Lite XTR rides smoothly and finds more traction than bias-ply tires because of a larger contact patch; a radial tires footprint actually grows under load

Itp Mud Lite Xtr Front Rear Tires

If you're serious about off-roading, then you need the right off-road tires to match your enthusiasm. While you can try to get by with tires that work well both on pavement and on dirt, your experience will be far better if you opt for true mud tires like the ITP Mud Lite XTR. True mud tires provide better strength, traction, durability, and versatility than a typical off-road or all-purpose tire. Therefore, if you want to spend your day driving through mud instead of getting stuck in it, it's important to choose your tires carefully.

Tire Construction Is Crucial

The way in which your mud tires are designed and constructed is crucial to the enjoyment you'll get out of them. To provide durability without adding excess weight, mud tires, such as the Mud Lite XTR, need to be rigidly constructed using multiple layers. These multiple layers are made from different materials to provide exceptional weight savings while still being strong enough to push your vehicle forward in the thickest mud.

Additionally, mud tires need to have defined grooves and notches to properly move wet mud away from your tires so that they can find good traction. You can think of these notches as small shovels that dig through the mud as you drive along the trail.

Choose the Correct Tire Size

The type of vehicle that you take off-roading will determine what size your mud tires need to be. In many cases, something like the ITP Mud Lite XTR 27x9x12 will be a great option because it's a good size to fit in multiple wheel wells while still providing enough width to navigate dense mud. Of course, if you prefer for your front tires to be smaller than your rear tires, it's important to get the proportions correct to ensure you don't put excess stress on your drivetrain.

When buying tires for your vehicle, you'll also want to consider a spare tire. Since blowouts can happen at any time, you'll want to have a spare available so that a flat tire doesn't ruin your day of fun. This tire should match the exact specifications of your other tires to maintain even weight distribution.

Best tires ever.
I have had ITP 589’s on my Yamaha Kodiak since 2005 when it was bought. I figured I couldn’t go wrong with another set. I have nothing but good to say about these tires, any machine I ever buy will have a set put on immediately.

Great Tires
When I bought them, I bought a full set of four tires mounted on wheels. I'd also looked at Kenda Executioner tires but am thankful I bought these. These throw lots of mud, have really deep tread, and ride nice. If I'd have gone much more aggressive on the tread, I don't think my 1996 Honda Foreman 400 could turn them from a stop, in thick mud.

I have a 2014 Suzuki king quad 750 Axi with power steering I would like to get new tires , I have been looking at the mud lite XTR does anyone know what size I can go up to get more ground clearance with out effecting the operation of the atv?
Bob • Nov 30, 2020
Best Answer: Hello, Without us seeing the vehicle in person that is a hard question to answer. Usually going up one size won't effect things too much. Once you start going up higher you will need to have someone take a look at it. If you have any further questions please give us a call at (844)761-2040. Thank You

Best Answer: This listing is just for the tires. No rims or lugs are going to be included. If you need help finding those items give us a call at (844)761-2040 and we can assist. Thank You
