Great value!
I have Olympia’s Dakar jacket and pants which are not waterproof (though the jacket comes with a in/out waterproof liner that works). I got these pants after a trip a few months ago that found me in rain with FroggToggs (an inexpensive pair) that performed only so-so.

I used these on a recent trip where we encountered heavy rain and they were awesome! They are long enough to ride high around the waist (a good thing in the seated position) and still come down low to completely cover whatever pants you have below.

The lower legs have velcro and when undone, I’m able to slip these on without taking my Forma Adventure size 48 (13) boots off! The velcro closures can then be wrapped tight (front to back).

The pants seem durable. I got the ones with a hi-viz yellow stripe. Figured better to have some more of that if it’s raining/cloudy and it looks good without over doing it (like my jacket!).

I didn’t get the matching rain jacket (yet) because the liner that came with the Dakar jacket does a surprisingly good job. But I feel both these pants (and the corresponding jacket, provided it works as well as the pants) are a great deal. I will likely get the jacket down the road just to have a matching set and because the liner (worn on the outside) doesn’t really fully cover the jacket unless I fold up the lower portion underneath.

Great job Olympia!
