Nice pants - better than blue jeans!
Being these are my first pair of riding pants I may be rating them a bit high since all I have to compare them to are the blue jeans I've rode in over the past 38 years but I really like these! I've not yet gotten to test them in the rain but I'm hoping to do so - nothing beats a good rain ride to get me and the bike cleaned up. The only negative I've found so far is that the cuff cinch does not get as tight as i would like it around my boot.

Go up a size!
I bought these for cold/wet weather ADV riding. I've been wearing Fly apparel for a while and have been a steady 38 forever, until now. These definitely run at least one size small, so I had to go with the 40's. If they had a 42, I would've opted for those so I could wear them as an insulated/waterproof overpant. As it stands, I can wear long johns underneath, so I'm good. The style and the features of these pants more than makes up for the little glitch in sizing. I haven't had an opportunity to wear them in wet weather yet, but if they work as good as they look, then they will be an incredible bargain.
